After every appointment at the Ayurveda Center we will serve you a bowl of Khichadi. A warm, nourishing blend of jasmine rice and mung beans with Sunita’s heirloom masala spices. This dish is not only vegetarian (can be made vegan) and gluten free, it is a perfect protein with all 10 essential amino acids. The anti-inflammatory spices are formulated to calm the body and mind and aid digestion.

We use ghee for so many things; it is both cooling and nourishing and will stay shelf stable indefinitely when kept free of contaminates. We recommend using a clean dry spoon every time you use it to maximize its shelf life. You can cook with it, take herbs with it, and use it topically on burns or skin conditions that come from overheating. For people that are overly dry or have trouble gaining weight we recommend a spoonful a day!
