Sunita Tarkunde

BAMS, RN, Founder and Director

Sunita holds a Masters Degree in Ayurveda, is a Registered Nurse in the state of Texas, and is also a certified Yoga Instructor. She specializes in Consultation and Education here at the Center and has personally trained all of our staff to have a deep understanding of the Ayurvedic methods that assist our clients in unlocking their potential vitality.
Your quality of life is inextricably linked to the balance of your physical, mental and spiritual selves and Sunita is deeply devoted to helping you achieve this balance and also teaching you to understand how to live an Ayurvedic Lifestyle.

Goral Trivedi

Ayurvedic Practitioner

Goral is a retired Molecular Scientist, who has been working in healthcare, helping geriatric patients with chronic care management and remote patient monitoring. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Ayurveda, and practices Transcendental meditation.

​Learning and Exploring the Human physiology to utilize its full potential has always been her passion.

She feels blessed to have the opportunity to work towards one’s healing journey and to be a part of the Houston Ayurveda team. 

Eileen Dyer

​LMT, Massage Therapist​

Eileen was the first therapist Sunita trained in Ayurvedic Therapy and has been working with us at Houston Ayurveda ever since! She is not a regular therapist on our schedule but she comes in to help us out when are in need of her expertise.

Asal Shokati

Yoga & Meditation

​Asal Shokati is a an Ayurvedic Health Practitioner who focuses on the mental/emotional aspects of the Koshic health model. She is also a certified yoga teacher and works on becoming a yoga therapist. Asal guides her clients through breath work and guided healing  meditations as well as balancing & restorative yoga practices to find their inner calm.
A former micro lender, financier and IT specialist, she understands how modern life can take its toll on one’s health. Asal thrives in nature, through movement and dancing, dabbles in painting and music, has a good ear for life stories and a good eye for the arts. She thrives on providing service to the bigger community.

Mayuri Das

Sound Healing & Reiki

​Mayuri Das is a certified Master Sound Healer and Reiki Master from Houston, Texas. She is the co-author of the International Best Seller book called The Call Within and voted as the top 10 healer category in 2025 for Global Energy Healing. Suparna Kulkarni

Assistant Manager

​Suparna helps with everything at the Center. She may answer the phone when you call or make your turmeric popcorn for your cleanse package. She is very knowledgeable about Ayurveda and lives it fully.
